I know how to do the Sound Settings with the defaults and stuff, but all of them were disconnected (I've got 2 to connect, 'Headphones' and 'Headset'). I've pressed the on button my headphones a million times but it stays red. Currently, I have just unplugged the USB cord maybe so it can have a chance off (it's USB but it needs a charge). Now the red light is off and I'm trying to turn it back on. I've done a few restarts and stuff but nothing happens! This is a long comment. I badly need help with my jabra usb headset. Last week it was working properly, i use it often for doing outbound calls and when i used the headset last monday it started not working anymore. I never changed anything with the settings. My job is at risk because i cannot ake any calls due to my headset issue. I also tried to do some test calls and see if the headset is the problem but everything is working fine. Do i need to upgrade my computer to windows 10? I would really appreciate it. I talked with a Tech. Guy at Andrea Electronics. He was unaware of any problems with their products. He took my phone number and called me back after he preformed many tests to look for issues. Everything worked OK. He uninstalled drivers, the software, etc. Because he knew if he found something that he would need to fix it. He did mention that Windows 8.1 had an issue with the volume that if you did not have the volume set to 80% or higher. You would not hear a thing in certain cases. This was a Windows issue that only windows can fix. I'm sticking with windows 8 until they have time to work out the bugs. Thank you so much for going to all that trouble! And for helping me so much. But you're not going to believe this: I took out the headset and listened to the tutorial with my computer's speakers. How to get outlook for mac online. It turned out I hadn't chosen the USB headset as the default in the Camtasia controls! So it works now! I still can't hear the tutorials or YouTube with the headset on, but I don't care about that. Maybe I will if I turn up the volume. But I just unplug them. I'm happily following along with the tutorials now and made a sample video! I apologize for the waste of your time. Me and two of my friends actually have the same problem. Switching usb ports worked for me too, but it annoys me that I can't use all the usb ports for my headset. I'm sure that all of my usb ports works too. I think the problem might be that the wires or circuits inside the pc can't handle the voltage, if you are having your usb headset and another usb-device connected to the same group of usb ports. I'm not sure, but maybe usb headsets are draining a lot more voltage than other usb-devices. I also have an other problem. The pc won't start windows when I turn on my pc when my headset is connected to it. I'm only seeing the BIOS appaer. I think this is also because of the low voltage in the wires or circuits. I'm not sure about anything of this, so it would be nice to get some help. (Sorry for bad english). Sorry to hear of your problem.
